The Bet The Set 21 blackjack game by Light & Wonder is a twist on classic blackjack. You can play a single hand or all three hands. Like any blackjack game, the objective is to hit 21 or as close to 21 as you can without busting. Each of the three hands has a side bet provision.
How to play
When playing this game of online blackjack, you will win when your hand is higher than the house’s hand, and you haven’t gone bust. You will also win if you have 21 or less and the house busts.
If the house’s initial face-up card has a value of 10 after the deal, it will view the face-down card to check for blackjack. If the house’s face-up card is an Ace, this check will happen after you decide whether to play an insurance bet. If the house has blackjack, the game ends.
Rules
For disciplined gaming, it is important to understand the rules of a game. For example, in this game, you may only split a hand as the first action on the hand, and if the two initial cards are of the same rank. You can’t split a hand more than once.
You can select a double for a hand once you make a split. You may only surrender a hand as the first action on a hand, and you can’t surrender a split hand.
The house must draw to 16 and hit on a soft 17. It must stand on a hard 17.
When only two cards create a hand with a value of 21, this is considered blackjack. This is only for the first two cards drawn and doesn’t apply to split hands. Hands with a value of 21 automatically stand.
Bet the Set
This is an optional side bet you can make per hand. You may want to do this if you’re playing the game as one of your online side hustles. The side bet is resolved straight after you are dealt your two initial cards. You win if the two initial cards are a pair or a suited pair.
Insurance
After the initial deal, you will have an option to make an insurance bet if the house’s face-up card is an Ace. The insurance bet is that the house will have a total of 21 with two cards. The bet amount for this bet is half of the main bet for the current hand.
